1. Service Description
Citation Check (Hallucite) is a citation verification service operated by Schötz It & Informatik UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kirchaitnacherstr. 5, 94234 Viechtach, Germany. The service checks academic references against public databases. Results are informational and should not be considered authoritative — always verify critical citations manually.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share API keys or use the service to verify citations for automated content generation.
3. Subscription & Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use Citation Check to: reverse-engineer academic databases, perform automated scraping, submit malicious content, or exceed your plan's rate limits.
5. Limitation of Liability
Citation Check is provided "as is" by Schötz It & Informatik UG (haftungsbeschränkt). We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of verification results. We are not liable for consequences arising from reliance on our verification output.
6. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms with 30 days notice via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
